Periodontal Associates has a working relationship with most dental insurance carriers, including MetLife, Aetna, Altus, Cigna, Guardian, Delta Dental and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
However, please note that we are not "in network" with any of the insurance carriers. As such, any payments made the by the insurance carrier will be based upon their "out of network" payment schedule.
Understanding insurance coverage can be quite a challenge. We encourage our patients to become familiar with their policy benefits, exclusions, deductibles and co-payments. Our goal is to assist our patients in understanding and maximizing their dental benefits.
Our courtesy service for our patients includes:
1) Filing pre-estimate requests to predetermine the benefits that our patients may expect to receive for treatment.
2) Filing insurance claims electronically, or by mail (paper claim), within 24 hours of service.
3) Following American Dental Association guidelines for coding procedures and filing insurance.
